Kaisson is getting so big and so animated! He is 4 1/2 months old now. He loves talking, laughing, rolling over, playing toys on his belly, and pulling up. He can even sit up for a few seconds before he rolls over! He is an easy boy and loves to play by himself or with Mom, Dad, Nina, Pop, or Gannon. Gannon is watching him on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays while I work on Masters classes and go to work. He has been such a blessing and seems to really enjoy being around Kaisson. Kaisson also enjoys the time together...sounds like they get some good naps together! =)
Kaisson is eating much better these days. After doing an ultrasound and barium swallow test, we were sent to the gastroenterologist who said that Kaisson had a milk/soy allergy. Sure enough, that was the problem! He still is dealing with reflux, but the vomiting has decreased and that's a blessing. Tonight we started him on rice cereal. He finally figured out how to open his mouth but had trouble keeping it in. I think he had more on his face and clothes than in his mouth! The gastroenterologist said that if he does good with rice cereal in the next week or so, then we can start him on baby food. Wow, my baby is getting so big!!! He still isn't gaining weight very well though. He's only in the 25%....so we've up'd the formula to water ratio according to dr's orders to try to up his calorie intact. Little guy can't keep up with his cousin Livi who is now 17 lbs!!!
